Background
The Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ) is the national standards body (NSB) of Zimbabwe. Formed in 1957 and incorporated in 1960, the Association is a non-government and non-profit making organization operating under the Zimbabwe Companies’ Act with Memorandum and Articles of Association. The Association is governed by a General Council consisting of representatives of government, local authorities, professional and academic institutions, industry and commerce, etc. The General Council determines the overall policy of the Association. Drawn out of the General Council is an Executive Committee, which keeps the activities of the Association under review and fulfils such function as the General Council may delegate.
